Language Programs

Have you ever dreamed of learning a new language in your spare
time? Or perhaps you once knew a foreign language and let it slip away
with disuse…
Okay, I could tell you to pick up a dictionary and start memorizing.
Go ahead, I’m serious, pick up a dictionary and start memorizing.
Not practical? Right. Who can keep the kind of commitment needed to
learn a new language to raw words listed on hundreds of pages? Okay
then, take a class. Again, that’s not practical for everybody (inflexible,
very time consuming, often dry and didactic, etc.). What you need is
something dynamic, something that engages the imagination, something
that brings the language you are trying to learn to life.
That something very well could be the EasyLearn Language Programs.
According to its designers, each program makes learning French, Spanish,
or German a whole lot easier (and fun too).
Each course is designed to activate your “whole brain” using rich
imagery and exotic
adventures
to foreign lands. Unlike other “accelerated learning” language courses,
EasyLearn Language doesn’t just help you to relax and then throw you
headfirst into a chaotic pool of mysterious words and grammatical rules.
Instead, the narrator, who is an expert in the language you are learning,
leads you down a thrilling path toward a deep understanding of the language
and the culture associated with it.
Each course contains six audio cassette tapes and one 48-page booklet.
It has been said that giving your attention to the course for as little
as 10 minutes a day will allow you to build a working vocabulary of
hundreds of words, understand the texture and feel of the language and
its associated culture, and even begin to think in the language.
So, you may be asking, is all of this true? I had the same thought,
so I decided to try it and decide for myself. I picked up the course
on German and dove in. At first I was both confused and excited by the
flowing music and soft voice taking me on an adventure “in a white cloud”.
But as we floated across the Atlantic ocean and ended up in Germany,
the confusion had dwindled greatly as it was drowned out with fascination
and attention paid to the German words I was learning.
I
wasn’t the most consistent listener (I never am) but I still managed
to finish the course in about a month. By that time I had a fine working
vocabulary, a nice feel for the culture, and a sense of the basic German
grammatical structure. I had found the program to be both relaxing and
entertaining, so I decided to go through it again. This time, as you
can imagine, the learning curve was much steeper, and with even less
effort.
So, what’s the verdict? If you have to ask you haven’t read my review
very carefully. But here it is anyway: It has been one of the most fun
and productive learning experiences I’ve ever come in contact with.
