Imagine
your every question about PhotoReading being answered in a matter of
seconds. Imagine coming up with those questions in a dynamic learning
environment
where
the PhotoReading Whole Mind System is the central focus. Imagine everyone
else in the room doing the same thing, and supporting you in your journey
to master reading at break-neck speeds (and feeling comfortable doing
so).
This is
the norm in each PhotoReading Seminar by Learning Strategies Corporation.
I had
the opportunity to experience one of these classes some months ago.
Before I go into my own experience, let me tell you a bit about the
seminar itself.
If you're not familiar with
PhotoReading, let me start by saying it is most likely not what you
expect. Yes, absorbing information at 25,000 words per minute is possible.
Yes, it will probably increase your productivity tremendously. But,
you're not expected to gain a photographic memory of the pages you PhotoRead,
nor are you expected to read, in a traditional sense, at 25,000 words
per minute. The PhotoReading Whole Mind System is much more dynamic
than this.
The process of PhotoReading
can be put under five headings: Prepare, Preview, PhotoRead, Activate,
Rapid Read. Each of these is a step in the process of gaining the information
you desire. That is the key; PhotoReading is goal-oriented and as such
cuts time and effort with more than just the third step of the process,
PhotoReading at 25,000 wpm. With PhotoReading you continually ask questions
and change your approach to the material as those questions are answered.
The process is really more powerful than most people expect. It is dynamic
information absorption as well as dynamic information processing.
PhotoReading is simple.
Really, it is. What the seminar provides is the environment in which
to fit the process to your own system, your own habits and ways of thinking.
It provides an excuse to practice the system enough to make it real
for you. The success of others, the instructor included, will inspire
you to progress further towards mastery. By the end of the course you
will be well on your way to integrating the PhotoReading Whole Mind
System into your life.
Unlike some of the others
that attended the class, I came having tried PhotoReading a bit. It
had been an empowering process for me, but I hadn't felt I was fully
utilizing it just yet. I needed something to kick-start my drive to
make PhotoReading real for me.
For many the PhotoReading
Whole Mind System Personal Learning Course works just fine. Others
would do better in a class setting. I decided to get a more thorough
preview of the PhotoReading process by purchasing the book. It covered
so much that I didn't see how the personal learning course could add
much more than Paraliminal
technology to the system. So the logical choice in my quest to master
PhotoReading and get it integrated into my life was to attend a public
seminar.
Meeting others who had a
similar desire to learn the system was great. We could talk about our
progress and our plans to use PhotoReading in the future. We talked
about other things as well, such as our own lives and what attracted
us to PhotoReading. It was a really relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere,
not like any class I'd ever taken.
We had a great time discussing
things and learning from our instructor. She was very experienced and
knowledgeable about the PhotoReading system. She explained what was
practical and impractical use of PhotoReading, and told us some stories
about how she used PhotoReading in her life. Perhaps one of the greatest
things about having a master PhotoReader there in person is being able
to see them PhotoRead. The process is described in detail in the book
and on tape, but it's difficult to feel confident about how you're doing
it (holding the book, turning the pages, etc) until you've actually
seen a master in action.
Confirmation
In my early attempt to PhotoRead
I wondered if the third step of the process, the PhotoReading at 25,000
words per minute or more, was actually doing anything. I had a feeling
that it was doing something, but a part of me wanted hard evidence.
The PhotoReading seminar gave me the opportunity to obtain this evidence
once and for all.
We were given two book, both with the fronts and backs covered so we
could see neither the title, the author, nor any cover art work. We
were then told to PhotoRead the first book without stopping to look
at any words with hard-focus. We did only the third step of the process,
twice, front to back and back to front. We were then told to let go,
close our eyes, let the images flow and to draw on a sheet of paper
whatever images we saw. I closed my eyes, saw some strange, abstract
images, and tried to draw them as best I could.
I would go into exactly
what I experienced here, but it has been brought to my attention that
going into it in too much detail here might skew your results
if you happen to take the seminar in the future. I'll just say that
the images did come, and that they were so abstract I couldn't make
out what they meant. However, as soon as I found out what the books
were about, they made complete sense, and in such a way that the images
really couldn't have been reasonably interpreted to represent anything
other than those books.
The second book in particular confirmed the power of my inner mind to
me. The images were extremely abstract (more than the first). There
were two lines that signified water. There was a strange object that
had two swirls in the middle and seemed to signify some kind of ancient
animal-inspired art. The centerpiece of the imagery was a large cross.
This last part seemed wrong to me, so I crossed it out, and modified
it.
I soon learned that I had
PhotoRead a non-fiction book related directly to the original image
I had crossed out (and to the others, of course). This turn of events
was the ultimate confirmation of the power of my inner mind. It had
known more than me; my conscious mind had only succeeded in taking away
the accuracy of the PhotoReading process. I had learned two valuable
lessons: trust your inner mind, and trust the third step in the system,
PhotoReading. (If you'd like more info on my experience, send me an
email. However, be forewarned that
it could ruin the experience for you, if you decide to take the class.)
The PhotoReading seminar
got a lot of people excited when I was there, and I'm sure this is a
regular occurrence. I was excited because a whole new world was opened
up to me. I had to suspend my skepticism at the beginning, and it was
justly rewarded with confirmations and successes. Of course, not everyone
is as successful during the course. That's why everyone that attends
a course can use free coaching over the phone, and the option to take
the class over for free as many times as desired. Since the system is
really so simple, Learning Strategies knows that it's only a matter
of feedback and practice before anyone that can read can PhotoRead.
The live seminar is the most effective way to practice and get feedback
that I know of, and so I recommend it to anyone able to attend.
