Take a look here at some of the physical conditions that Spring Forest Qigong can affect. Pretty amazing, huh?

As you might imagine, I was skeptical when I first saw this. As I began the course I wondered how anything could produce such incredible results, let alone something as simple and elegant as Spring Forest Qigong.

To my surprise, I found that my skepticism wasn't necessary. In fact, it may have only slowed my progress to the results I eventually attained. I'll go into exactly what I experienced after I tell you a bit about the course itself...

Qigong is an easy-to-follow combination of controlled breathing, focused concentration, and simple movement. It works with the body's natural energy. Ancient Chinese wisdom calls this energy "Qi" (pronounced "chee," sometimes spelled "chi"; there is a list of different spellings of Qigong here). Proper use of this "Qi" is said to be the key to health. Millions of people have used it for millennia to achieve positive results, and despite its status as outside Western science thousands of people in the West continue to experience these benefits as well.

There are several ways, most of them from ancient China, that teach methods for controlling Qi. Qigong is one of these ways. Historically it has been enshrouded in mystery, and kept as a guarded secret by the Chinese elite. Only in the last half century has it become known to the Chinese people and the rest of the world. Today over one hundred million people practice Qigong.

"Many try to cloak Qigong in mystery," says course publisher, Pete Bissonette. "A Master often teaches just a little at a time, giving the student, the grasshopper, only what the Master feels he should learn. Spring Forest Qigong takes off the cloak to de-mystify Qigong because of its potential value to the health and well-being of people who practice it."

Here are some health benefits of Spring Forest Qigong:

  • Improve your circulation. Qigong alleviates conditions such as arthritis and chronic fatigue.
  • Improve your metabolism, digestion, and elimination. Qigong is great for weight control, youthful appearance, and balanced energy
  • Reduce tension, blocks, and stagnant energy by increasing oxygen supply to your tissues.
  • Stimulate the lymph system. Qigong builds a stronger immune system so that you become less susceptible to flues and other viruses and recover faster if you do get sick.
  • Retard the aging process by giving your organs an "inner massage" to restore your body systems to healthy functioning.
  • Lubricate your joints for pain-free movement and greater flexibility.
  • Soothe the nervous system to feel contented and serene.

My Experience with the Course

Though I didn't have any major physical condition when I came to Spring Forest Qigong, I did have one issue with my health: lack of exercise. I used to run every day, but had recently given it up for the occasional weekly or even monthly run.

As you can imagine, my physical and mental well-being had been deteriorating ever since the change. Laziness and busyness got the best of me. I began feeling lethargic and stress bothered me a little more. I had always been in a better mood after a run. The effects of the fresh air rushing past me, and the physical euphoria was invigorating and uplifting. Unfortunately, I had become inundated with work and I had nothing to give me that lift.

Spring Forest Qigong has been nearly everything running was to me and a whole lot more. By working with the natural energy of my body and releasing 'energy blockages' I feel a profound and euphoric relaxation after finishing a session of Spring Forest Qigong. I continue to run occasionally (Chunyi Lin, the course's author, suggests running or other exercise as a way to release excess energy), but for physical balance and mental well-being I come to Spring Forest Qigong. I can imagine anyone could have similar results no matter what their current situation.

The testimonials for Spring Forest Qigong are amazing. Though such results as cancer being cured and hundreds of pounds being lost have little to do with my own experience, these stories still excite me for two reasons. First, I know that if I ever have such ailments I'll always have Spring Forest Qigong available to put them to an end. And second, I'll probably never have these problems in the first place since Spring Forest Qigong is preventative!

And yet, if you want to be realistic, it's probably better not to expect the kind of miracles in the testimonials. But definitely don't rule them out. There is power in the ancient wisdom and modern healing of Qigong. How do I know? It's a thing that cannot be explained, but only experienced.
